Why does it say how many "unread emails" I have on the right side of the user account on the main page when my computer starts? How can this can be removed?
Ideas: Programs you are having problems with Error messages Recent changes you made to your computer What you have already tried to fix the problem Remember - This is a public forum so never post private information such as email or phone numbers! I am wondering what to do regarding the fact that each time that I open my computer, I see my little Icon of me ( computer administrator )to log inand on the right side, it tells me how many e-mails I have that are unread and show my e-mail adressse when I click on the " message unread".I want this saying how many e-mails well," email thing " to be remove. How can I do that ? I tried to delete my user account by installing a new user account, except that I don't want to loose everything I have in my account, so Id'e rather stay the computer administrator. Can anybody help me ??1 person needs an answerI do too

Unfortunately, there's no user interface for this setting. It requires editing the Windows registry. To do it manually, run the registry editor, open this key, and set it to 0: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\MessageExpiryDays If you'd rather not do it manually, go to Kelly Theriot's Registry Edits for Windows XP "Tweaks and Tips" page , click #100 (Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen), and download and run the file that it provides. Warning: Incorrectly editing the registry might damage your system and prevent Windows from starting. Before doing it, back up your important data, make a restore point, and make sure you know how to repair a damaged system.
